Please allow me to introduce myself... [Jim/Bones, Jo, Jocelyn]

Mar 03, 2011 01:54

The last hour of the day had seemed to drag on forever. After that sexy exchange with Bones, Jim couldn’t wait to get to his place, determined to make good on his promise. That brief interlude with Cupcake aside, he’d spent the rest of the afternoon half-hard, plotting ways to make Bones growl his name in that low, ragged drawl that was quickly ( Read more... )

After Jocelyn left, Leonard's eyes turned back toward his bedroom. Jim had never emerged, so he wasn't sure if Jim didn't want to come out - if it he thought that he couldn't.

Probably should have said something, but fuck, he'd started talking to Joce and it was nice, being civil and friendly and even laughing a bit - time just escaped him. But as he turned the corner, his heart tightened in his chest.

Jim, curled up on his bed and fast asleep, still clothed. Bones took the padd from his hand, and carefully placed it on the night table. Pulling off his shirt, he sat on the edge of the bed and ran his hand over Jim's golden hair.

It had been another jam-packed day of meetings and talking with crew members, and after a lengthy conversation with Scotty about a repair delay and how it would impact the pre-flight schedule (not much, they decided), he had intended to either take a shower or venture back out into the living room to see what was up. But the bed had grown more and more comfortable, and before he knew it he had curled on his side and drifted off.

He didn't stir, not until he felt that warm hand smoothing over his hair. Even then, Jim just mumbled something unintelligible, pressing into the touch like a cat wanting to be petted, not quite asleep and not quite awake.

Leonard spread his fingers, carding through that soft hair. He smiled down at Jim, this tightness in his chest loosening, though his heart kept up its fast beat. Jim had no idea what he did to him, how watching him laying in his bed, waiting for him made Leonard feel.

And seeing Jim talking, laughing with his daughter, the light of his life... nothing awkward or unsure. He'd been everything Leonard could have wished for and then some with Joanna. This morning, Leonard hadn't thought he could have loved Jim more.

Right now, settling behind Jim and wrapping his arms around him, he knew he was wrong. If it were possible, he thought, tucking his face into the back of Jim's neck, he loved Jim even more.

Jim rumbled softly, his mind surfacing from sleep as Bones wrapped around him. "Mmm, Bones?" He brought a hand up to lace with his, and stretched with a sleepy yawn. "Didn't mean to fall asleep..."

He was warm and comfortably sleep-clouded, but Jim shifted around so that they were facing each other, tangling their legs together. Brushing their mouths together just for a brief moment, he sighed, shuffling closer.

"You really think I'm stupid hot?" Had he been fully awake, he probably wouldn't have admitted he'd heard that, but his defenses were down, body and mind relaxed after a busy day.

"...yeah, darlin'," he brushed their lips together, whispering against his mouth, not wanting Jim to wake up if he was this tired. "Think you're beautiful."

Not like a woman was beautiful, or a flower, or something like that. But Jim's face, his eyes, his cheekbones, that chiseled jaw - together it defied definition, and Leonard didn't have any other words to describe how all together it was just perfect.

His arms wrapped tighter, and his mouth slipped to Jim's throat and kissed him softly, warm skin that tasted like Jim.

"Not like you," he breathed, shivering and pressing closer as Bones kissed his neck. Jim's hands encountered the bare wall of Bones' chest and slid over the warm skin, one hand resting at his side.

"Wanted to surprise you," he whispered, his movements still lazy but his mind clearer, remembering their evening. He'd planned to shower, then be ready and waiting when Bones came in. "Thought Scotty would never stop talking."

"The man's obsessed," Bones murmured, closing his eyes and feeling Jim's hands on him. His hips thrust forward of their own volition, pressing against Jim with a quiet groan.

He should have brought Jim out to talk with Jocelyn... not leave him in here. "Thank you," he whispered in Jim's ear, as his hands slid down to Jim's ass, squeezing lightly, pulling it against him.

"He is," Jim agreed, eyes opening just in time to see Bones' drift shut, that involuntary roll of his hips making Jim's breath catch. This was different, somehow, than their usual tumble into bed, being woken up by Bones slipping in next to him. He could get used to this, he thought.

A soft growl of his own escaped him as Bones' hands covered his ass, squeezing and pressing him close. He nosed against the side of his face, surprised at those quiet words. "For what?"

Jim shifted his weight, easing Bones onto his back and lying over him, propped on one elbow so he could observe him. The fingers of his other hand traced over his brow, down the bridge of his nose, trailing everywhere they could reach.

For what, Leonard chuckled quietly, as if Jim didn't just have dinner with his ex-wife and daughter. "For tonight," he answered quietly, opening his eyes to look at Jim, following that finger. "For being so good with both of them."

He smiled a little, something small and warm. "What did you think of my baby girl?" he asked, reaching up and cradling Jim's face with one hand.

Jim grinned crookedly. "It was a little awkward, maybe, but... I enjoyed talking to Jocelyn once we got past that. I'm glad she brought Joanna out here to see you." He planted a kiss on the end of Bones' nose before continuing.

"Joanna is... amazing," he replied, his voice thoughtful. "Smart as a whip, and so curious about everything. The questions she asked about the ship, Bones..." Jim shook his head, his grin turning a little shy. "I think she liked me, too. Not just the "Captain Kirk" thing, you know? We had fun."

"She and I - well, I'm glad things are better. Nothing worse that hating someone you cared about, like that." He wrinkled his nose, unable to keep the grin off his face at Jim's silliness, so intimate when they were close like this.

"They both seemed to think you were great," he told Jim. "Jo Jo was still talkin' about you after they went back to their room. I think you got another fan," he rumbled, kissing Jim's throat. He was happy, so ridiculously happy right now, and Leonard squeezed him tight, couldn't keep the joy inside him if he tried.

"I'm glad, too," Jim told him. "I could always tell when you'd talked to her and argued over something. It's good that you're getting past that." He still wasn't exactly sure how he felt about Jocelyn himself, except that now, having met the woman, he thought he had a better understanding of her, and could see how she and Bones had probably been good together before. Jim didn't know if they would ever truly be friends, but he had enjoyed their conversation well enough. He chuckled. "I'm glad she liked me. Well, glad they both did, but especially Joanna. I wanted... I want her to like me."

Jim arched his neck, laughing as Bones squeezed him and loving the sight of him so happy. Sliding his fingers into his hair, Jim stared down at him for a moment, that bright, open look on his face making Jim's breath catch in his throat. He'd known already that he would do just about anything for his best friend, but to see that look on his face, know he'd had a part in putting it there made Jim feel ten feet tall.

"I guess... I needed her to know who you were, so when I talk about you, when she's old enough to understand - who you are to me." Someone he needed, wanted. Someone he loved, even if he didn't say it as often as he should.

Pulling Jim more fully on him, Leonard leaned up and kissed him, deep and long. "I'm hopin' you'll be around for a long time, Jim."

Jim fell into that kiss easily. He loved how well they fit together, evenly matched in height and pretty close in size. Bones had a little on him, being broader through the shoulders and chest, but Jim was lean and strong from his own workout routine and from teaching hand-to-hand. The thought flitted through his mind as he slid over Bones that this was nice, not worrying if he was too heavy or if things got a little rough.

They were anything but rough just now, though, his lips lingering to nibble at Bones' jaw, those words making him pause. Something warm and light washed through him as he looked down at Bones. Not too long ago, he would never have believed any of this could happen; that they could be here like this, and that he could be so happy and still want more.

"I want to be," he murmured, lowering his head to tease at Bones' neck.

Bones had never spent this much time with another man like this, laying together against each other all night. There was something comforting about Jim's weight, his muscular solidness that appealed to him in a way that Bones hadn't expected.

It was all juxtaposed against Jim's tenderness, that warm and gentle side that emerged when they were intimate like this. His head fell back, exposing more neck to Jim's mouth, and he rumbled contentedly. His hand rested on Jim's hip. "Good." It was too early for them to be talking about forever, but the idea crossed his mind with increasing frequency.

Leonard could feel Jim's body all over him, and soon his hands began moving all over him, tugging at Jim's pants, sliding them down his hips. It wasn't even about sex right now, he just wanted to be closer to Jim's body, to feel the skin of his legs, his ass, everything against him.

Something about Bones made Jim want to slow down and take his time, savor the taste of that spot just below his ear, or listen to the sounds he made as Jim's hands wandered his body. He loved when things were hard and fast, when they could barely make it into one of their rooms before having each other. But the quiet times like this were something that surprised him with their intensity, the intimacy something Jim had never experienced before and found he loved ( ... )
