On Wednesday I finally have another interview. This time with a company that is substantially in the same market as my former company, so at least my experience should be directly relevant. Depending on what the position is, exactly. I've got a lot of reading to do between now and then.
Somehow despite being unemployed, I am not actually significantly ahead in my OU study. I have a tutorial on Saturday and still had four fifths of a book to read, aside from the specific tutorial prep which I also haven't done. So I forced myself to get past the short but somehow insuperably boring section on macroeconomics and then managed to do about a quarter of what was left pretty thoroughly. So I'm pleased with myself.
Also I cycled into and out of town as fast as I could, with panniers full of library books, over three bridges, by way of exercise. Conclusion: I am pathetically unfit. I can cycle as long as I like on the flat, but point me at a hill and I puff. Even if it's just a bridge.
Kevin's garden is mostly terraformed now, and looks quite nice. It'll look better when the plants are established, and when we've repaired the fence and dug and planted next to it.
Yesterday I made roast lamb with an organic leg of lamb. Oh, wow. It's like a different animal. Just to make it extra special, I cut slits in the skin and stuffed them with slivers of garlic and sprigs of rosemary. Yummmmmm.
