(no subject)
Situation: Boss's stepson (pretty good looking guy, but kinda a slimeball) asks new temp (the one from before) if she wants to go out and do something.
Now, I have prior knowledge about this guy. Last weekend he said he was gonna probably ask her out.
Me:"Dude, dont you have a girlfriend?"
Him:"Not if she asks, I dont"
Me:"Thats fucked up."
Him:"So?"
So I warned her(strike one against boss's stepson). This felt kinda fucked up, but shes just getting out of a relationship, has mentioned how much she dislikes the whole dishonest mindset, and I figure she just doesnt need more of that mess.
So he calls her today to see if she wants to do something. She blows him off, expresses to me her want to brush him off later this weekend as well. Later my immediate(and coincidentally, her immediate)boss asks her if she and Boss's Stepson are going out, she kinda balks on answering the subject. Later gets irate because boss knew(Strike two against boss's stepson.). Yesterday I asked her if she wanted to do anything this weekend. She was kinda like "we'll see" because she has to work.
Now, I know shes still technically married. She's in a divorce, and she's said she's "not looking for a relationship" but shes really cool with me.
This evening somebody was talking about food and she said something like "Well i'd eat if somebody would take me to Makados"(at this point I *swear* she's almost baiting me) which is apparently a Japanese place where they cook in front of you.
Me, I take this as a hint, because Ive been trained to notice as many female hints as I can. So I go over to her "So, howabout this, this weekend if we do go someplace, howabout we go to this resteraunt you like so much?"
This gets me a nice big smile, and a "But you cant tell anybody at work." (Obviously this girl dislikes gossip, which, clashes with my nosiness, is appreciated) And this of course multiplies my chances of she and I meeting up this weekend by a few times.
Basically i'm just afraid i'm sticking myself into the "friend zone" and I bloody well hate it there. I could stand it, but i'd be pretty annoyed about it.
