I have acute money issues, where I have like $170 in my bank and owe a total nearing $2000 to various sources, causing me to have to drop a class I was planning to take this summer, Astronomy. It's not THAT bad cause I was just taking it for interest, it won't be going towards my degree or my electives, since those credits are all filled anyways, and it also means I get to actually go home on Wednesday and Thursday instead of being at school from 9 am when I start work till 10 pm. It's annoying though.
But NOW today I went to a graduate level lecture given by the prof that I'm working for, on Polymer Physics, and I just went to see what graduate level courses are like, and the format of this one is that they talk a bit about different chapters of a textbook, then each grad student presents one of the subjects from the chapters. Well at the end of the lecture today the prof was handing out subjects to people and he handed the sheet to me...
Me: "Oh, I'm actually just a bystander here."
Him: "Oh no you're not."
So now next week I have to do a little presentation on the radius of gyration of polymers :@
However, I did learn something amazingly cool today...how many molecules are in a tire? Answer: 1. A tire is just one big motherfucking molecule chain.
