Seriously, what a joke of a midterm. Why did I even bother to study.

First off, it's 6 questions. Which I know doesn't sound like a lot to you art majors, but in physics 6 is plenty. BUT we only had to pick 3 out of the first 4 questions to do and one out of the last two. So that makes life easy. But on top of that he friggin gave us the final answer in 3 of the questions. As in "prove that v = c/2" type thing. And on one of the questions he basically told us what to do step by step...

For those of you named Paul, the only question I didn't answer was number 5, cause I know in the frame of the space station the rocket travels an additional distance so theres slightly longer than the length of the rocket for the photon to travel, but in the frame of the rocket the rocket isn't moving so the photon just travels the length of the rocket...but it just seemed iffy.

I do love special relativity. It gives me a tingly feeling in my peepee place. Just working a problem out and seeing how space-time is warped by high speeds is awe inspiring.

When in doubt use energy-momentum invariant!
