I think fetch and a walk works for Trouble. There were no cries in the middle of the night to get up and out of the crate and I was able to sleep through the night as a result.

I know I said this in October after the Tahoe / Bodie/ Yosemite trip, but seriously, someone smack me if they see me taking multiple panos of (what is basically) the same composition.

Fhuuuuck, but I have a lot of photos to wade through and merge. There are some pretty pretty shots though :)

I need to take the dog out for some exercise and take me for a walk before hitting photoclub at 7 where we vote on the future of competition.

So, we will still be having competition meetings, but they are looking to change the format so that judging might happen prior to the meeting and not in front of the whole club. I could very much be into that.

And it turns out I will miss the first meeting because I will be out with Charlene on our road trip. I may not be able to share much in the way of any pictures I take on that particular road trip unless they edit themselves. However, I could take my laptop with me since we'll be stopping at hotels half the time, which would allow me to dump the pictures onto my computer and maybe work them at night...

Must get back to yoga. That won't be tonight because I'm going to the movies with Ene and have shit to do before and after the movie. I may do it tomorrow, but it'll depend on whether I go to the actual gym. Definitely need to get out with the dog on both evenings.

I did not get to bed early because I ended up editing a photograph instead--which I went ahead and posted to Flickr, but I still need to tune it up some more around the truck frame. Tonight there is a lot of stuff to get together before going to WS tomorrow evening.

I am trying to do a steak day. Not sure how successfull I will be since I am quite hungry right now and will probably definitely add veggies to the dinner menu--and there is bacon pre-wrapped around the steak. But it was in the freezer, I needed to get rid of it and I need to knock some of the additional pounds I put on this weekend off my ass.

...maybe I have the veggies for lunch. Or cave and have soup.

Dad gave out the checks for Grandpa money and the reimbursement for the NZ deposit. I spent short of $900 today on a variety of new camera stuff, including a new lens that is both wide and fast and fricking sharp. I also got an led panel and a clip for my iPhone to do better time lapse. I'm on the fence about the bag, however, and would really like to get back to a camera store and try it out.

And of course, now the same lens is listed for $250 cheaper and there is a Nikon lens that is nearly as fast, has better dxomark scores, and is cheaper. Ah well. Mike from photo club also found a Nikon lens (only f2.8) someone is selling pretty cheap on Craig's List, but I would like to have another 1-2 stops of light an pay 4x as much. He says he searches CL every couple of days however, so I gave him my wish list if he wants to keep an eye out.

Camping starts tonight and I have my new L bracket, which fits my new tripod head, and my new iPhone clip, which I should be able to get on a tripod to set up a timelapse or two this weekend.

But I didn't have the screw adapter for the head, so I had to take the old one (or so I thought and so I did) and took no night shots. I also ended up bingewatching Criminal Minds and got no photo editing done--though I did get out veeeery ealry on July 4 to get some night shots in at the truck and swing set near Colfax. Today I'll get those transfered to my laptop so I can see what, if anything, can be done with them.

Kasey keeps coming back and I really wish he wouldn't. He mentioned on the first meeting that he only approaches people who are already working in the yard, but I have the impression now that if he's met you he'll start knocking on the door--because he's done that several fucking times now. He came by twice this weekend because in spite of my saying no on Sunday he came by on Monday too to ask about mowing the sidewalk strips. I didn't feel at all bad when Trouble when beserk either time.

Camping was okay. I didn't like the site nearly as well as Charlene did, but it was decent enough until the smell from the outhouse stack started attacking us on night two--and made it nearly impossible to pack the car without gagging on Sunday. We got some decent exploring in and found one of the better breakfast places I have ever tried. The Dusty Spur in La Grand. Fabulous.

It's already Wednesday. I went to test drive a couple of cars with Charlene last night and she's getting the blue highlander today. since she's picking that up after work and the gym as short hours, I'll use tonight to do all the yard work I didn't do last night. Mow & spray weed killer. It's not like it's an intensive list. Hopefully I can force myself to bed early. I'm quite tired this morning.

Perhaps I am more tired for not having a cup of coffee. Perhaps I would be this tired regardless. I am still very glad it is a short week.

I need to find out if I will be able to get better results with a simple leveling base or if I'll need to consider getting a pano head or a pano head and a leveling base...though when I think about the logistics...maybe...or not.

research is required.
