I absolutely with a passion hate apologies.

I think in most cases, they are unnecessary. I understand if someone says, "I had a bad day," and you say "I'm sorry" even if it isn't your fault.

What I hate more than anything else is rehearsal apologies. The ones where people say, "I'm sorry we were loud earlier."

I HATE THEM.
Don't apologize to me.
I'd rather have you not acknowledge the problem and just be an asshole than acknowledge the problem by apologizing and then blatantly ignoring my requests by being loud again.
My respect for you lessens every. single. time you do that, and trust me, there are many who think they're adorable that I can no longer stand because they do that.

And I'm so annoyed by it.

Who would want to do that? Apologizing means you know there's a problem and you're going to try to fix it. Not fixing it means you don't mean the apology, which is worse than not apologizing at all.
False apologies and false praise make me so mad I could shoot something.

Do NOT APOLOGIZE. Just don't do it, and I'll be a million times happier.

You know what I do love, however? When someone you like but shouldn't does something stupid so you don't have to like them anymore. Just in general. It makes life so much easier.

I remember back when I used to love making ridiculous New Year's Resolutions.
Every year, I've had this resolution on there: Learn to say no to people
It's never happened.

I made a resolution one year that I'd be more complacent.
HA.
Ask everyone whether they like me or not and we'll see if that worked.

I made a resolution to stop thinking everyone is in love with me.
Yeah, that most definitely hasn't happened.
You mean everyone's not?

I made a resolution to be nicer to people, including ones who can't sing but do.
...

I made a resolution to not procrastinate so much.
Yeah, I'll start on that resolution next year.

and I made a resolution to learn how to cook.
This I really would like to do.
I did learn this past month that softening butter can be done in the microwave but don't soften it too much, or it's just sickening soup.
So that's a good thing to know.
So if you know how to cook,
let's have tutoring!

That said,
