Ego
This semester is -full- of candidates for "nicest thing anyone's ever said to me." The following is one of the leaders. From an email from Lisa to me and Ellen, in reference to our symposia:

Both of you, I do thank for this last week's most wonderful pleasure. It's
a dear, dear thing to see two such people work so very hard and, then,
transcend not only their own expectations but the very best of mine (and
mine were set *high*). It's like having seen, in one single concert, Dylan
electrified and Joan Baez.
