I've noticed that kitchen items can breed. I was putting away silverware last night and noticed two forks and 1 spoon that do not match our pattern. I assume this spontaneous creation of new items is to compensate for the loss of one of my set's salad forks. I'm sad because I can't find this silverware set anymore (it's nothing fancy, I just like the weight and feel of the utensils). Once, many years ago, I put my Visions cookware in storage at Shaav's parents' home for the summer break at University. When we unpacked them the next fall, they had gone from 3 pots with lids to 5 pots with lids and a frying pan with lid. Neat trick. Shaav's mom finally came clean and said she'd dumped her Visions in my box when she heard I liked them (she hated the things). Those pots have moved on to the Calgary Women's shelter now. I wish some of my canned goods would sprout offspring in the pantry. That'd be a nice surprise.
