Car woes & server upgrades
Just got back from spending a day and a half at home with the parents and Grandma, who arrived in West MI yesterday. Had fun talking with her. Spent most of the time talking and just reading my book, or tinkering with the server. It looks like she will be around in town for another week or so, probably leaving next Wednesday. So odds are I'll be spending miost of my offtime in GH over the course of the next week or two.
Yeah, that server upgrade. Finally doing it. I took the off day Sunday to begin the upgrade to the file/web server. At this point, my home directory and the webserver are over there, but the core of the server (the trio of 100-160 GB hard drives that store all my files) are still in the old server. I'll probably move those on Thursday.
But a new irritation has been arising the past few days. The blower in my car seems to be malfunctioning. At first it seemed to just be the lowest setting.. then the lowest two... Now after driving back tonight it's all four of the lower settings that arent working. I have to turn it all the way to "max" to get anything to come out. I'm wondering if anybody out there who knows more about cars than I do has any ideas on what it might be? I'm wondering if it's a fuse or a bad wire or something. Anybody have any ideas??
