I found a fun toy today: here it isApparently some person I don't know linked to my open letter to female slash writers and called it "something of an amusing entry." Too bad they have (or had, since the blog is no longer being updated) even fewer readers than I do, it would've been neat to get some publicity. Ah, well ( Read more... )

He probably thought it was cute that you were so nervous XD
And from what I've heard, being a guy from a band isn't the only way to get to hang out with him... you just have to have the right connections to get introduced as "someone to hang out with" rather than "a fan to shake hands with and go on your merry way."

I do know Sho... and I like porn but I never get to watch it for some reason.

I guess I could see Toshiya and Die getting characterized as similar since they're both friendly and fun-loving, but Die seems so much more approval-seeking and insecure than Toshiya. Plus, he makes more bad puns, and Toshiya is more sarcastic XD

The TxKxD I'm writing now has Die and Toshiya as the couple, but I could see it your way, too. I'm a total Toshiya whore but somehow I like KxD better than KxT. All the crappy "omg Toshiya is a whore who wears lingerie in public and breaks all the boys' hearts, but that's okay because Kaoru has no heart so he's immune... or is he?!" fic has poisoned me to that pairing. It's a great pairing when it's well-done, but it so seldom is that it's hard for me to get excited about it.

Haha yeah, that AND then the fact that I handed im my cig-box to sign in lack of other tings amused the crap outta him.

So then you need to know someone who knows someone who introduces you. It's as difficult as the other way XD

I think that the 'new' Toshiya, I mean the real one (or how he comes across) has matured a lot. Damn, that guy's so sexy and secure on stage, I can't believe how much he has changed. He surpassed Die so quickly although he seems to look out for Kaoru as a role-model these days.
Die has this problem that he's simply cute. And being a man at his age, it's like a death-sentence when a girl calls you cute though I'd still fuck him. So he has to compensate his lack of masculinity by trying to appear uber-cool (I love how you Americans use the word 'uber' which is a German word 'über') which is doomed to begin with already. I mean look at all the small thins. When he's on stage, he tries to throw the guitar-pics as cool as Kao but sadly, they drop down at his feet (often). Then he only smiles his charming smile (I could swear he blushes too, but you can't see it in the light) and quickly throws the next one. Or in Amsterdam, when they came in after the first set, he strolled in so coolly with a beer in his hand but stumbled over a wrinkle in the carpet and almost fell down. He's just to adorable to play with the real guys XD So yeah, he's so sub^^

I somehow see Toshiya a bit as the spoiled brat, a man who isn't grown-up completely yet but who is used to get what he wants (especially when it comes to guys in fanfics). I also see him as a nice and caring person in a way and certainly not as this man-eating slug.

Gods, and spare me emotionless or even brutal Kaoru. I hate these kind of fics.

XD Yeah, that sucks when you meet someone famous and you have nothing for them to sign. Usually I have them sign my concert tickets, but sometimes that's not an option if you pay at the door or whatever. Then it's like, uh, now what do I do, oh no! Usually I try to get the setlist or a flier from the concert for just that reason.

I dunno if I'd say that making connections to get invited backstage or whatever is as hard as becoming a successful musician who has the good fortune of getting to tour with Dir en grey for whatever reason... you have to make connections for that, too, AND you have to be able to play an instrument and sell records. But on the plus side, at least you get money for it XDDDD

I dunno, there are a lot of guys I think are cute who I'd love to have sex with. Toshiya is actually one of them. He's sexy AND cute. Same with Miyavi. Die is just so dorky that the cuteness kinda outshines the sexiness, though XD Plus he's just so unbearably girly. He's always giving dudes "the eye," tossing his hair, preening, giggling, stuff like that. His mannerisms remind me of a saucy French mistress sometimes. Too bad that's not the image he's going for XD

Kaoru's kinda dorky, too (he tripped over the microphone stand when I saw him in concert... and then jumped over it before it could hit him and gave someone offstage this look like "HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE THAT? THAT WAS AWESOME!"... he also has adorable ghost and alien tattoos that look like something out of a Tim Burton movie) but he kinda pulls it off like he means it. He doesn't seem so blushy and embarrassed as Die is. He's sorta like "I'm a big dork, you wanna make something of it?" whereas Die is like "oh my god, I don't look dumb do I? Oh my god I hope everyone thinks I'm good enough :O" As a result, Kaoru ends up looking less dorky and more cool in a kind of strange way.

I could see Toshiya as being a little bit spoiled, but I also think he's got a really good-natured side to him. Maybe he's a little on the impulsive side, though, especially when it comes to talking. I mean, who tells a German interviewer for the music press that all Rammstein songs sound the same? Clearly this was not a comment that he carefully planned out beforehand XD

I've heard some stuff about Kaoru that makes me think that he can be kind of brutal sometimes, but I really don't think he's the kind of inhuman asshole that he's depicted as in a lot of fanfiction. And even if he is, who the fuck wants to read about that??

Heh, oemmelchen had my tickets and I really had nothing else with me since me and a friend were just going to Burger King for a McCoffee and a McToilet x) I'm really not good at asking people for autographs since I'm not good at stepping up to strangers and just say "Hi!". At least not when somebody told me that this someone is important *lol After a Balzac concert, I was supposed to get an autograph from the guitarist and the vocalist and I was shaking although I fucking didn't even know them before nor did I care. I'm stupid XD

You do know that it was a joke, right? I mean with me talking about getting into a band to once meet Diru. I wouldn't even flirt with a guy, a roadie or whoever to get backstage. Why should I? I wouldn't get a word out anyways. Besides, I think that's quite cheap. Everbody has to decide for themselves, but I know this girl who flirts her way to anywhere she wants. I don't like that kind of behavior that much.

Toshiya definetely is cute but these days I think the term doesn't fit anymore. He's hot, sexy, droolable, yeah, but cute? Okay, you're right, he shows the dorky side still and I laughed so much at the "Rammstein" comment. But hey, he fucking is right. At least I think so. I had to laugh too at the "The reaction of the fans was good... Well, sometimes not." I bet this wasn't planned either. He appears to be an honest person in a way. At least he doesn't seem to bother to call a spade a spade. I like artists who can say this or that sucks, because it's their opinion which doesn't have to match with mine necessarily. He's sweet eh?

Kao the dork? I would've so much wanted to see the mic-strand incident XD You're right though, he seems to be able to turn his dorkyness into coolness in a way just because he doesn't make such a huge fuzz about what people might think, I believe. I don't know, I know more guys like Die, so I can always smile at him. He can be sexy too, but usually just messes it up and is plain adorable.

Kaoru brutal? I once heard this thing about a girl who claimed that Toshiya had hit her and I don't give a damn about these kind of rumors. I don't know how they are in Japan or how they behave, but c'mon, I could take on any of them without problems. There are just too many girls here who want attention and they are telling stupid things. Besides, we wouldn't ever know, would we?

I do think though that they all had their fair share of fights and brawls. Just because it doesn't seem to be a big deal in Japan when you get into a fistfight with some guy. But I assumed you were talking about brutality towards girls, were you?

Is it just me or are my comments getting longer? Haha, just tell me to shut up if I annoy you!

I know how you feel... whenever I perceive someone to be of much higher status than I am, it's difficult to approach them without being nervous. I'm working on changing how I feel about that, but it's not easy XD

I don't think it's necessarily immoral to flirt to get stuff that you want because I think a lot of guys just treat it as an ego boost or like you better because you're friendly or something, they don't think you're actually going to hook up with them, they're just happy you're paying attention to them. People often act different around strangers to get the reactions they want. I act ditzy around cops so they'll think I'm harmless and leave me alone, is that any better? However, it can be DANGEROUS at times because, especially in the music industry, some guys will see your flirtation as a promise to perform sexual favors. That's not a fun situation to be in. I don't flirt with random people, either, but sometimes you can make connections with people just by being nice and talking to them. It's far less easy and leaves more to chance-- the easiest way to get backstage is to bribe staff members with booze, drugs, or sex -- but it feels less sleazy and is less likely to put you in a dangerous situation if you just try to make friends with the right people.

I love how brutally honest Toshiya tends to be, I think it's adorable. I also think it's why he doesn't talk much in interviews anymore, and when he does talk, it's mostly stuff he was already coached on and the same stuff everyone else says at every interview. My friend and I joke that we want to make a magazine for Toshiya that's like Oprah magazine -- he's on every cover, and all the articles are interviews with him. My favorite interviews are usually ones where Toshiya actually talks, because he's so blunt and sarcastic. I love that.

I wish I could've filmed the mic-stand incident, it was fucking amazing. I was cracking up over it for days. He's still a lot more poised than Die is, though, even if he has his silly moments. Die is a total goofball who's trying to look like a big, serious man. It makes it even more hilarious, like a Yorkie in biker gear.

What exactly did she say about Toshiya hitting her? I find that kind of hard to believe, since all other accounts I've heard have said that he's very friendly and nice. Although I heard he kicked some fans during their Asian tour because they were all crowding around him and annoyed him XD Serves them right for being a nuisance and ignoring his need for personal space.

I've heard that Kaoru is kind of ill-tempered and starts fights with the other band members and does selfish things sometimes. But I don't think he's anything the sociopath he gets depicted as in a lot of fanfiction. I haven't heard about him beating up girls or anything like that. That definitely couldn't happen in Europe or America anyway, we all outweigh him! XD
