Hello, flist. Long time no post. I have finally emerged from the Comic Con craze. I got home yesterday, but after driving back from San Diego I was pretty dead. And I have been working on uploading photos since I got back. It seems to take forever (doesn't help that I take too many). I had a great time down at the Con, hanging with friends and seeing tons of awesome panels. Not a fan of all of the lines and some of the chaos, but it was worth it.
I have audio from pretty much every panel I went to, so if you're interested in anything, let me know. I've uploaded all of the Bones panel
here and have random video from other panels that I haven't even started going through yet. I will definitely be putting up stuff from the Chuck panel 'cause it was friggin awesome. But anyway, hi.
Just going to spam you quickly with pictures from everything I went to. Will link to each album so you can go see more photos if you're interested. I'm really happy with how well most of them turned out. Just sayin.
THURSDAY
I got up early and drove down to SD. Arrived, found parking, got my badge and got inside just in time for The Middleman lost episode table read. That was so fun. I loved that show.

Roz and I grabbed some food then went to Ballroom 20 where we stayed for the rest of the day.
Entertainment Weekly's Wonder Women panel. Zoe Saldana is really well spoken, Elizabeth Mitchell is adorable, Eliza Dushku continues to be pretty, and Sigourney Weaver kicks ass. Duh.

Next was the Burn Notice panel where Bruce Campbell was a rock star. So much cheering for him. And he was hilarious. Gave money to people who shouted out compliments. And then Matt Nix kept teasing Jay Karnes until he got up like he was going to fight. It was really funny.

Even though I don't watch Psych regularly, the panel was entertaining. There was dancing and chanting of Magic Head. And we got fun swag.

Next was Dexter, which again, I don't really watch, but I stayed for anyway. And I am a fan of Julie Benz. And John Lithgow is joining the cast this season.

That was the end of the daytime programming, but a bunch of us were staying for the Dr. Horrible Sing along. David Fury, Felicia Day, Jed and Maurissa Whedon were all there. After Dr. Horrible they played Commentary the Musical. It was my first time ever hearing that (I'm bad, I know!), so it was really cool to hear with a room full of people singing along.

FRIDAY
The next morning I got in line early for The Guild panel. And oh, that one was really awesome. We were sitting right near the front. Joss, Maurissa and Jed were in the audience. They showed a music video with the whole cast dressed as their avatars (the song is called, "Do you want to date my avatar"). Then they all came out dressed up! And we got to watch the first episode of season 3. And it was basically just really, really cool.

Next we got into the giant line for Ballroom 20. I was seriously starting to panic that I wouldn't make it in for the Bones panel, but after 2 and a half hours of waiting, we finally got in. Luckily Roz had someone saving us seats. I'd missed the Big Bang Theory panel that I wanted to see. We sat through 24 (another show I don't watch) while waiting for Bones. Look, Freddie Prinze jr!

And then it was time for Bones! Davd Boreanaz wasn't there, which was a bummer, but Emily Deschanel and Hart Hanson were fun. Again, I taped the whole panel so you can go start watching it
here if you're interested.

After Bones was a screening of the 13th Dollhouse episode. Felicia Day is in that ep, so she was in the audience near us. After the episode, Joss and Eliza answered questions, then brought out Dichen and Franz, who'd also been sitting in the audience near us.

And the last panel I went to that day was TV Guide's hot list. We were in the front row by then. Zachary Levi was on the panel, along with Scott Wolf and Rebecca Romijn, guys from Big Bang Theory, and more. Any time someone mentioned Chuck there was tons of cheering.

That night I hung out with a group of Chuck fans and the ladies that run Chucktv.net. It was fun. Finally made it back to my hotel after 11 and got a few hours of sleep before another busy day.
SATURDAY
I was up before 5am and out in line at the convention center by 5:40am. The Chuck panel was the first of the day in Ballroom 20 (at 10am), so we were all trying to get good seats. After waiting for hours we finally got in and got our seats. And then the awesomeness started. After a video where the creators were freaking out about being renewed and not having any plan, out comes Jeffster to perform and rock the whole place. It was incredible. Pretty much the entire cast was there. It was awesome. There will be video later.

After the panel I zoomed downstairs with one of the guys I'd met the night before. We wanted to try and get in for the Chuck signing, but they'd closed the line before the panel was even over. Sucked. We stuck around and got pics of them signing from the outside at least.
And a guy let me take a picture with his signed poster, lol.
Next we tried to get into the True Blood signing, but that was craziness and we didn't get in. The whole, "there is no line" thing is annoying. You just have to be standing there and push your way forward to get into the official line when they finally open it. I spotted a few of the cast when I was "in line" for the Fringe panel later. Also spotted Stephen Moyer up on the balcony and he totally looked right at me. I caught it on video.

Finally actually made it into a signing for Fringe. Was so excited. I made friends with a group of people around me in line, which helped make the waiting go faster. One girl and I are now best friends after fangirling over Joshua Jackson together. We had plans to get pictures with Josh (and he was totally willing!), but they said no photos right when we got to the counter. They wouldn't even let us take pictures as we were walking by. I still took some and got yelled at. Whatever. We stuck around and took pictures from the outside afterwards.
Fringe pics John Noble was really super sweet. He was all, "How are you, smiley?" to me, and then to my friend he said the same, but called her love. And when she said "Better now that I've met you," he got all happy and it was adorable. We love him.
Hello there, Joshua Jackson
I had wanted to go to the Mythbusters panel that evening, but the line was really long, so I ended up just heading back to the hotel. Went out to dinner with Megan (who I was staying with) and then tried to go to bed a little earlier than I had been.
SUNDAY
The last day. I originally wasn't going to stay for Sunday, but then decided I wanted to get a few more things in. I got in line early for the room where they were doing Smallville and Supernatural. That was a long line. I haven't watched Smallville since the first season, but Tom Welling was showing up to Comic Con for the first time ever so it was a big deal.

Supernatural was next. Jared and Jensen weren't there, but Misha Collins is adorable. There's some good stuff coming on that show.

I was just hanging around when I remembered that there was a Harry Potter panel happening. Got in line for that (the line went all the way down the hallway!), got some free buttons and made it in to find a seat in the third row. It was just a few authors and organizers of the big HP conventions, but it was fun.
After that I caught the last bit of the Torchwood panel (never seen that show at all) and got ready for the Buffy Once More With Feeling sing along. That was fun. We got little grr argh monsters and buttons and it was cool to sing along with the crowd. And whoa, people really hate Dawn, lmao.
Instead of trying to drive home Sunday night I ended up staying with the ladies who run true-blood.net. We watched the new episode and ate junk food and it was fun. Got up Monday morning and headed back home. Phew. And thus ended my Comic Conning. I made it all 4 days and had a great time. Now I know I'll be going every year.
My Comic Con albums Videos will be here (Feel free to share the links with anyone you think might be interested.)
ETA: OMG, Felicia Day just commented on one of my pictures of her on flickr. I is fangirling!
