Hello, my name is Genevieve and I'm a Zombie
First, I took a few pictures at the practice on Friday night (after I finally found the park and the parking lot to go with it). There were a lot of people since it was the last practice and they'd asked for everyone to come if they could. When I'd gone on Wednesday there were only like 8 people by the end of the night. But that was good for me 'cause I would've been nervous if there were too many people. We split into two groups, and I went with the group that already knew the dance and just needed to practice. At the end of the night we split again and each group took a turn watching the other, so we could see how awesome the dance looks in a group.
So on to Saturday. I had to get up early and get ready before picking up Pam, my personal lackey. The text I sent when I got to her house:
We got down to Hollywood around 8:30am and I got signed in and whatnot. Made friends with another girl who was there early and we practiced and did crazy things to entertain ourselves since the official dance didn't start until 11am. It was so hot down in the parking garage that my make-up kept melting. But we found the perfect spot to cool off, right in front of a giant fan.

Before getting up to the main area, we waited on the lower level for a few minutes. We were right by where cars come in and out of the parking garage, so a bunch of us had fun clawing at the windows and trying to make the people in the cars look over, lol. Then there was a massive group of Zombies going up the escalators and walking around Hollywood & Highland and we got such weird looks from people. It was awesome. We had to start the dance laying on the ground.

We actually did the dance 3 times so they could record different angles and get close-ups and whatnot for a video. During the first official dance (where we were dancing the same time as everyone else in the world), there were these 2 guys behind me that were goofing off and jumping around and doing stupid stuff. They made me so mad! They weren't supposed to be there but somehow snuck in and I'm pretty sure they ruined the first take of the dance. If you watch this wide view of everyone dancing you can see them jumping around. I was right in front of them.
But it was fun. I still can't believe I actually did it. Crazy outgoing for me. There have been various reports of the event being on the news and I still have to look through other pics to see if I show up. I'll probably do another post with stuff like that. The guy who played our Michael Jackson, dancer Adam Sevani, had us zombies be the backdrop for him and his crew to dance in front of. They did a fancier version of the Thriller dance, and then freestyled. It was for some video, so if I ever see it I'll let you know.
Afterwards, I had to clean off my face and change clothes and then afrocurl and tiguhgirl met up with us for lunch and we all went to mrbig1316's apartment to hang out and help pack a little. We stayed til almost 11pm. There were many pictures taken, but I have yet to go through them and decide which are suitable for people to see, lol. Crazy day.
