I'm tired. And I don't want to study at all, but I'm gonna have to eventually. Yesterday was a lot of fun though. Crazy spontaneous day. Heh. Met Liza Weil and Jason Dohring (again) and got to hang out with friends too!
Gen! Thanks for being such a trooper and coming with me to see "Superman." There's nothing like going to a movie with fans who *get* the movie. You clapped and laughed at all the appropriate places, by the way : ). Seriously, were you reading our minds? ; ).
Loved when you were all, "It was funny!" Some of my favorite lines *ever* come from that movie. The ultimate "pick-up" line: "You've got me? Who's got you?" - and - "What color underwear am I wearing? PINK. I'm sorry, Miss Lane, it seems I have embarrassed *you.*" Love how she asks the flirtatious questions with the same tone as the serious questions. And I love how he pulls out her chair for her! I'd forgotten about that. Now where can I find me a Man of Steel?
The biggest disappointment about "Returns" (acting aside) is that it takes itself so seriously, there's no sense of fun or charm whatsoever, as in the original movie, and in Lois & Clark. And there's no energy to it. Even the Daily Planet scenes are dull. But I'd love to hear your opinion of it, because, as we established last night, I value your opinion! (And one of these days, you have to check out Lois & Clark! I can lend you my DVDs!)
The highlight for me was getting to see you, obviously, but I also loved meeting those little girls & their mom. Thought it was so cool their mom took them to see the movie, especially since my mom's the one who introduced me to Superman! Chicks can dig the Superman story too, and it's not just because he's hot! I told my dad about our time at the movie, and he was like, "Those little girls are future Sarahs!" Don't know about that : ), but those two girls are exactly why I want to make movies - something that different generations can enjoy together.
On the way back to LMU, I realized something. Your friend with the super cool car? I've parked next to that car! She's got a Veronica Mars sticker on the back that says "Best. Show. Ever." The bright hue of the car, combined with that sticker -- makes it pretty hard to miss : ) According to her LJ, she's a film student, too! So I should totally talk to Christina and get to know her!

That's how I found out about her, too! lol. Heather met her when she was here in August and had pics of her car on her LJ, and then I saw the car at school and I matched them up! The car is her claim to fame lol.
Lol, I just clapped when everyone else was clapping. But the laughing was all me. I loved all of the little one liners and looks. It was awesome. And when I think of the flying scene with the poem I want to start laughing hysterically, lol. Christopher Reeves was adorable in the whole movie. Now I want to see the second one at least. Heh.
I've seen some Lois & Clark eps (I used to catch reruns), but I really should watch a whole season sometime. I might have to take you up on that.
It was great to see you and get to hang out for a while. Hopefully we can all get together next month!
