Today started off bright and early at 6am. We had a 7:30am bus to catch to Riga, Latvia. So cold. The bus ride was about 5 hours long. I made a friend on board. I don't know his name, but he was a middle-aged Finnish guy with most of his teeth missing and blood clots around his lips. Unforntunatly he spoke English and wanted to chat. I eventually had to pretend I was asleep, although I could see him staring at me through the window reflection.
Monday everything is closed. I saw Date Movie. I must say it was the worse movie I have seen in ages. Worse than all the movies they were mocking. Like just terrible. The movie alone has just ruined my trip.
Riga is cute. Their currency is on par with the British Pound, so its a little frustrating to get jack shit for my Euros. But things are cheap, so hoorah! Johnny American from the Warsaw hostel mentioned something about people yelling at him when he was in Riga. Scott had an old lady yell at him yesterday in Vilnius. He made eye contact with her and she started shaking her cane in the air and screaming something in Lithuanian. Charming.
Tomorrow, I'm going to go to the occupation museum (more cold war stuff). I'm trying to determine which country has the most tragic history-so far Lithuania is in the lead. Poland could have been in the lead if they never invaded Lithuania.
