To say that it hadn't been the best of days would be a horrendous understatement. Mohinder had, unintentionally, given Sylar back all his powers, losing Niki's chance of recovery from the Shanti virus and traumatising Molly in the process, and to top it all off he now had a strange woman in his flat. Mohinder started at the sound of the key in the lock. He had lost track of time, fallen into a doze in front of the television, which was still harping on about Nathan. Molly was still asleep on his lap, and he stroked a hand gently through her hair as he looked round and offered his roommate a small smile.

"Hello, Matt," he replied to the greeting, eyes and smile trying to offer some sort of sympathy. "I've seen the news..."

"Yeah." Not the strongest answer, he knew, but it was all he could manage at the moment. He wasn't sure what else to say or if Nathan's condition had been mentioned. Or if, worse yet, Mohinder would tell him he was just as useless as he was so sure he was, at the moment.

He sighed at the thought, reaching up to scrub a hand over his face before shooting a glance at Molly. "Please tell me you two have had a better day than I have." Anything for a bit of normalcy, right now.

"I'm sorry to disappoint," Mohinder laughed, a tad bitterly. Where to start?

"Sylar found me again. He had the virus, the same one Niki has. I'd just discovered an antidote, and then... he stole it. And now I have a woman he played to look after, who hardly speaks a word of English and has taken up residence in my bedroom."

He offered another smile, as if that would somehow make things better.
