So yesterday was going perfect.. ya know? That was until I picked up my cousin from school. She had just started her first day at golden valley high, and seemed very excited about it. I took her out to lunch, and than offered to help her with her homework. After stopping at my house to give my mom the car back, I met her at her apartment which was not too far away from my own, (same complex.) I find her with tears in her eyes, it hurt to see that image, and when I asked her what had happened she responds with "we were robbed."
So I quickly run into the house, thinking if that's true that person could be in there still, look around and the house looks like a warzone. Everything is thrown about, clothes, chairs etc. These thieves even dug up her mom's dirty laundry -.- as if she had anything to steal in there perverts. So we run back to my place after I get her to calm down, and unable to get a hold of her mom, my mom takes over the situation and we have the police there.
These assholes stripped the lock on her garage door to get in. The apartment I live in is set up more like a neighborhood than an apartment building.. Anyone could have seen these thieves in broad daylight doing this sort of thing, but apparently there were no witnesses. Cops investigated the area, shit they even pulled out guns to make sure no one was still in there. We found that they tried to pick the deadbolt on their front door, and even tried to jimmy the door open with the bottom lock. The screen window was bent out of shape, but with the lock on the window it just looked like they had tried to get in and failed.
Now the garage door my aunt has is lined up with a bunch of other garage doors. -I- cant even remember which one's hers and I'm there all the time. Seeing as they probably tried other means of getting in first before attempting the garage, how did they know which garage was the right one?
They were watching... Timing everything, and that's apparently what these thieves do. They study the house they're going to raid.
My aunt had left the blinds open before she left for her plant to get light... They were closed when we found the apartment fucked up. That explains why no one saw them through the balcony window. So what's missing?
I loaned her out my old laptop after getting this one. That was stolen, as well as an old desktop computer, the large monitor for it, and my electric guitar I loaned her. Oddly the stereo, DVD player and TVs were still there... But the thieves... did something even weirder.. They raided the bathtub and stole all the shampoos, bath lotions and soaps, shit they stole the lunch meat and juice boxes for her little brother's lunches. Who the fuck steals lunch meat? Even the cops were a little weirded out.
We speculate it was those meth heads who live in this building, trying to make a quick buck to get their drugs. After all who's stupid enough to steal a computer that's obviously broken? My laptop's screen was clearly cracked, and it was left wide open for them to be able to see such. Less they figured out you needed an external monitor and thought they could sell it.. Still what bugs me most is knowing some fucker was watching my aunt and cousin's before robbing them, and still might be. I don't like it. And as helpful as the cops were, they were very supportive and over all the nicest cops I've ever met in my life, (they even made my baby brother giggle,) they say this is the 10th reporting in my neighborhood this week for this sort of thing... I didn't even know there were three. I knew someone got robbed two weeks ago, but not 10 in the last week. And cops are on top of this case, I see them roaming the complex all the time, still I dont see it being solved anytime soon. But I want to see these people in jail.
