Evan wasn't big on mutant supremacy or anything like that, but he knew first-hand how cruel his classmates could be to anyone that was different from them. He wouldn't wish Glob Herman or Quentin Quire's bullying on anybody.

He gave Kate a little smile at that. She was pretty great, so far as roommates went. At least she didn't stare, like his last one had.
"You'll take lots of pictures while you're in Turkey, though, right? I'm sorry I'm missing it, and I've already got Sholeh hunting down postcards, so I'm going to have to do a proper spring break vicariously through friends, this year."

"You can get pictures on your phone, right? I'll text 'em to you so you can see what's happening."

"I can," Evan replied with a nod. "My Uncle Cluster made sure I had a phone I could do video talks with him on, since he's always really busy. Pictures shouldn't be any trouble at all."
He grinned a little.
"In return, the best I can probably offer is what the school cafeteria looks like when it gets moody."
