Same here, I was to busy watching my feet and trying not to slip. Seems I was my own undoing.

Well, in a place like this. . . ? This is probably one of the better ways of meeting someone.

Yeah, the people are not to bad. ( pause. ) But with all the bad things that happen here, we certainly meet and bond during some dark times.

"I hear about bad things but so far it's only been due to other people.

Though what happened to Kay sounds terrible.

( her face falls at the mention of kay, squeezing the flowers closer to her. )

Only four months, I came here right at the start of July. Not even two days later it changed to that strange Soviet version of Mayfield and well. . . it was pretty bad.

I'm sorry to hear. I guess I got lucky on that."

( she just smiles forced but faintly. )

It's okay! But enough about this depressing talk. Hehe, it never suited me much and especially not when I have something to be really happy about.

Two of my friends recently came back from home, they were droned for so long that I was starting to worry I'd never see them again.

. . . Though perhaps its bad of me to think it's a good thing they've returned to this place.
