So yeah... Spent today with Phyx and The Boy. Made Corned Beef and Cabbage. Can I get a woo (for the first) and an Eww (for the second)?
Irish cuisine, specifically Corned Beef and Cabbage, is something that is lost on me. Drinking is cool, Step Dancing is fascinating, Irish Folk Songs rock.... the food, what I know of it, is disgusting. Boiled, tasteless, ew. Potatoes are good, don't get me wrong. I love me some potatoes, but the rest of it leaves me cold. Ah well. First time making it sans-crockpot, though, so yay for trying new things in that respect. Came out pretty good, says the resident Corned Beef expert. (Brother-in-law)
The Boy is going to start paying Phyx to drive him to work instead of paying hellish amounts to put gas in the dilapitated van that he was using. All-around plus. Don't have to worry about the POS breaking down with my boyfriend in it in the middle of the freaking boonies and I get to see him more often. Neato. And he saves some money, which is always good.
Fark I still need to buy non-slip shoes for work.. next paycheck, I guess. Hell. OH, dude, totally got a new phone... woot :D and I bought the last Fallout Boy CD I didn't own. (Stupid purchase, but oh well.) Yay for music.
Okay, now to do something else!
