Holy crap! I'm alive!

I haven't posted here in a while!

Let's see... not really any way to make a great re-entrance into this, so I'll just jump right in.

First up: I have a daughter! She was born on my birthday (July 20th, for those of you who don't already know)! I couldn'tve asked for a cooler birthday present (although, now I won't have any birthdays for at least another 18 years)! Abigail Isabel is her name, and she's adorable, and hilarious, and very well-behaved for a 1-week-old. All that kind of good stuffs (oh snap, I read through my friends' journals before posting!). Abby's awesome; she is already focusing on faces, and trying to roll (not succeeding, but soon). When she looks at you, you know she's thinking. She's gonna be a schemer when she grows up, and a smart one, if the look on her face is any indication. Other than that, she sleeps a lot, eats intermittently, and flops around if she can.

Laura's doing great; tired from the whole delivery process, but that's to be expected. Luckily for her, the whole labor process only lasted an hour or so, which is good, since she arrived at the hospital too far along to receive pain medication.

For those of you in the Hoodbridge area who would like to check out Abby and catch up with me and Laura (details later on in the post about that), here's an official invite to Abby's first party! It's Saturday, August 5th, 4PM, at my parents' house. If you know anyone who doesn't check this journal (this might be Cindy, although I dunno... I dunno who reads this journal anymore heh), please let them know! I'm kinda tired from going back to work and getting Abby settled in, so you'll have to excuse the not calling everyone directly. Get the word out! And let me know if you're planning on coming. Phone, email, whatever!

Second: me! I've been out of commission since about the beginning of December! If you thought this was because of you or anything, it wasn't. No worries! It just kind of hit me that I didn't really want to do anything with people for the last 8 months. I can't really explain it, and I'm not really interested in trying. So, sorry if I ended up ducking you and did not explain it!

What's important, is that we should hang out sometime! Get in touch with me, we can work something out. I have a kid now, so booking my presence may be a little difficult if you want me to go somewhere other than my house, but if you just want to come down to our place and hang out, lemme know! I'll get the house clean so Laura won't be all annoyed at people coming over, and we can watch a movie, order some pizza and act like retards! You never can start acting like a retard in front of your kid too early; I know I've already started!

Scoots: Abby doesn't like kung-fu movies so far. I watched Kung-Pow with her, and she cried a lot more than usual. Kung-Pow isn't a classic kung-fu movie, but I haven't gotten a chance to see if it's all kung-fu, or just parodies. Further testing is warranted!

All others: holy crap, talk to me!
