A very expensive calculator

Apr 18, 2006 20:04

Apparently the internet is the world's greatest calculator. Oi. We've been getting assignments we lack the knowledge to do, and all the while I've been thinking I'm falling behind or something. Turns out, those who were getting it were getting the answers exactly from the internet. So much for that ( Read more... )

Ugh. That's all I have to say on the subject.

"Blah" is a good way to put it. I've been feeling like that for awhile now. Which character and what plot chasm?

How does that work? Wouldn't people just vote for their friends? We - rather, they because I don't particularly care - vote for class president, etc., and that's all that happens. People elect their friends.

Mako. He just disappears in such a way as is not adequately explored. I'm gonna need to put that in there before posting, so nobody notices that he just disappeared.

Sort of. It's a big thing, and the difference between grade nine and grade twelve is pretty substantial. Generally speaking, the person who gets the honour is popular, but typically a good orator and often quite eloquent. I'm terrified that I might win.

Wait, is the Yugi that escaped from the ship with Mako the fake?

You can't decline?

Yeah, the switch was made on the ship. Should I make that clearer?

I could, but I wouldn't. That'd be a cop-out.

Ohh... So the real Yugi is still on the ship? Yeah, that wasn't clear. Have you decided on what happened to Mako? (Maybe fake Yugi disposed of him before going to Venyore?)

A what?

The real Yugi was on the ship. But he's since been deposited somewhere.

Cop-out. An easy way of getting out of something without actually dealing with the issue.

Okay. You didn't answer my question.

Sounds worth it to get out of speeches.

I'll make that clearer then... And I decided he'll go missing in an event probably related to the impostor. What actually happened will be left inentionally ambiguous.

I'd probably do a decent job... Ah, it's not going to happen anyway, so no use stressing over it.

Sounds good.

Easy for you to say. It goes by grades here, and I'm terrified that mine wil bring me hired. I'm right where I want to be, thanks. Of course, I'm not going to intentionally bring them down. But I know the current head of class, and she has no life outside of school, so I don't think that will happen.

In all fairness, she's probably secretly a Quincy. You can't decline the honour if that happens?

A what? No, I can't.
