Sigh

Where are we?

I cannot help the sigh that escapes.

Did I not explain that we would be traveling to the Golden Saucer? Is it not apparent that we stand now before what is nothing more than a poor knockoff of a haunted house, meant as nothing more than a cheap thrill for the patrons of the facility? How anyone would be taken in by the hired help was beyond me, but humans find their delights where they will.

Zack used to spend his time here chasing Mr. Hangman through the rafters in pursuit of the truth of his predicament.

The mist is a nice touch though.

The boy was still a tool, but he had asked a question and, though if he were a cadet I would ignore him and continue, Strife would give me grief over mistreating his underling. How troublesome.

"A hotel. An Inn. A place of rest." Obviously he did not believe me entirely, though the setting may have been a little off for most to randomly appear in. "The Golden Saucer. Arcade, race track, battle grounds, museum, ampitheatre, amusement park...whatever the patrons decide to use it for. This is but a single portion of a whole. We will get rooms here, you may have time to see your surroundings, and then we may speak...your friends will be along shortly, I don't doubt. When that time comes it will be your choice to rejoin them."

I will have no need of the child once Strife is within my grasp.

It is an encouraging thought as I make my way up the stairway and into the hotel's lobby.
