We're having a talent shows and, for those of you who have heard my wonderful karaookee skills (remember "A Boy Named Sue"?), I've decided to sing. Unfortunately, all my efforts have been blocked. First, I wanted to sing a heart-felt rendition of Guns 'n' Roses, "I Used to Love Her, but I Had to Kill Her'. The problem with this is the necessity of accoustic accompanyment, so it was deep sixed. Next, I thought what better for a symposium on conflict resolution then Outkast's "Bombs Over Baghdad". This time the philistines out and out rejected my efforts. My next idea is undoubtedly the most brilliant. Now, as many of you may know, the Kurds in Turkey have a rebel/terrorist group turned political party/advocacy group known as the PKK. Now, as an equal number of you SHOULD know, the Ramones did a wonderful little diddy known as "The KKK Took My Baby Away". I think you can see where this is going.
She went away for the holidays
Said she's going to Bombay.
But she never got there
She never got there
She never got there, they say (rep.)
The PKK took my baby away
They took her away
Away from me
The PKK took my baby away
They took her away
Away from me
Now I don't know
Where my baby can be
They took her from me
They took her from me
I don't know
Where my baby can be
They took her from me
They took her from me
Ring me, ring me ring me
Up Erdogan
And find out
Where my baby went
Ring me, ring me, ring me
Up the FBI
And find out if
My baby's alive
Yeah, yeah, yeah
o-o-o-o-o-o
o-o-o-o-o-o
She went away for the holidays (rep.)
The PKK took my baby away (rep.)
They took my girl
They took my baby away
My brilliance is only out weighed by my talent!
I'm so gonna cut a record...
