As I said in my last post... feeling worse in general... A lot of the pain has returned since I've been off the steroids. So I called the doc today and he's having me go back on prednisone for a few days and then a different medication which I can't remember the name--it's a different steroid I think that has less side effects. So we'll see...

I second prednisone's suckiness. I figured that they had moved you off of them too fast. Your body needs time to adjust, and losing a pill every 2 days is just not enough time. The first time I used them I was on them for a month, and I was on a lower doseage than you too (4 pills a day to start). Just don't let them keep you on them for a prolonged time (like 6 months) because then you'll become dependant, or at least run the risk of becoming dependant like me :(
