Badou and Mr. Mihai really let the fridge go during that experiment... she had to restock almost everything!]

[Seeing as she was checking her bags for a moment, Masaomi jumping in front of her startles Nill a bit. Not for long, though--she smiles and laughs silently at herself. She looks over at the person she doesn't know, hesitating for a moment, then she smiles at Masaomi. This must be one of his friends!]

[And Haine is waiting for her, not far up the road. Not that he cares or puts much stock in what the Draco kid says, but it doesn't hurt to make sure that no one is hassling Nill. He stays out of the way, for the time being, far enough off the beaten path to size up the boys that seem to be following her, but close enough to kick some scrawny teenage ass if they don't behave. His guns are holstered, but in plain sight on his hips and his arms are crossed over his chest.]

[Yes, actually! She's wearing one of her white shirts, but she's put a flowered dress over it (that may or may not have a noticeably weird hem--she did it herself, okay). It's spring now, isn't it? So her wardrobe should be full of sun dresses and things that people who don't live underground wear.]

[She nods, holding out one of the bags: there's some chicken and flour and chocolate chips inside. Obviously for dinner and restocking the cookie jar. Once Masaomi's gotten a look, she holds it out for the other boy as well, so he can see.]

[Nill glances back at Haine, noting that he's standing further ahead waiting for her. She's immune to the threatening vibes until things get serious. She smiles, though she hopes Haine isn't too inconvenienced while she says hello to a friend.]

[Masaomi, meanwhile, just grins. He took note of there being a threatening presence in the area the moment he approached Nill but, assuming it might just be an enemy or a rival or something, opted to not focus as much on it in front of the mute girl. When she glances away to show the bag to Mikado though, Masaomi crances his neck with a sharp look to see what the presence was and-

He then looks back at Nill, but shifts his position a bit to keep an eye on both as best he can. He's too paranoid to do anything else.]

[ Well, since Mikado would normally glance in a direction if he saw Masaomi doing so, he doesn't, since he was too busy looking into the bag that Nill showed him. He doesn't particularly notice anything threatening, either.

He does, however, smile to her when he's done looking in the bag. She's kind of adorable ]

[When she meets his eyes and smiles, he gives a short nod in return. Whoever these kids are, they seem pretty harmless. It's highly unlikely either of them is the creeper that he's supposed to look out for, but it might be good to know the faces of the people she's familiar with in town.

When the blonde youth turns to look at him, he meets the kid's eyes for a moment before glancing away, feigning disinterest. Not like he's concerned or anything, he just... has nothing better to do.]

[Well, if Haine's okay standing around for a little bit, then Nill won't worry about it. Though she does wish he would come over and talk to them instead of standing there, Nill knows it really isn't like him to do that unless something really compelled him. Why he keeps insisting on walking her to the grocery store, though, she doesn't understand. She's made the trip dozens of times on her own...]

[She puts the bag back on the wagon, catching Masaomi looking over at Haine. Oh... was Masaomi worried about Haine standing over there watching them? Haine did have that effect on people sometimes. Nill's shoulders twitch a little in laughter and she pulls out her stack of notecards. After flipping through a few, she finally finds one written both in her handwriting, and in a printing that isn't hers, and hands it to Masaomi:]

['Hello, my name is Nill. I can't speak, but please be patient with me. I live with three gunmen and we have a spare room for the arsenal.[She jerks her head ever so slightly over in Haine's direction once

[What're they- oh right, the cards. Haine glances over for a moment, but with all the ones they've given her, any one of them could have the right effect. Is it his imagination, or do they both look a little nervous? Babies. His hand isn't even on his gun yet. Nevermind that the safety is on. If he was actually pissed off, they'd know it. Otherwise, he'll just continue to make sure that this little exchange is just as innocent as it seems.]

[It really isn't, but every once in a while she finds that Badou or Haine has rewritten her cards or inserted new, 'helpful' ones into her stack. She thought they were a little funny even if nobody else felt that way.]

[Nill smiles to Masaomi's friend--it's nice to meet him too! Even if it looks like Haine is making them both a little nervous. Maybe if they all met, they would be more relaxed! She flips the card Haine added to over and writes a quick note on the back: 'He's my friend. Do you want to meet him?']
