MASAOMI KIDA is now HEADLESS. He is a Dullahan and as such he has no head but instead a black smoke pouts out of his neckhole (see gan_ceann's icons for examples) But! He's also on his feet and without any cast or brace, and he's not hitting the town by storm to HIT ON EVERY GIRL EVERWhile headless

[Have a princess. Vivi is wandering around town, taking a little time to explore the place. She hadn't been here for long, after all, and this has been one of her first opportunities to really do so.]

He might not know the princess part but check and check, and as such headlesssaomi needs to work out a plan here. The lack of being able to shout means he can't get her attention that way so... at a run he slides (literally, like a baseball player) in to the side of her with his hands cupped into a heart shape!

[A headless boy coming at her out of nowhere is one of the last things Vivi expects (and for good reason), and she gives a sharp gasp, taking a few quick steps back and falling into a defensive position. It's a moment later she notices the way he's holding his hands, and remembers that a lot of people aren't exactly themselves just now. Her posture relaxes, though not completely.] Oh! I-I'm sorry. You startled me.

[A small pause. Why did he run over here in the first place?] ...can I help you? [It's hard not to stare at his...lack of head.]

[Okay, out comes the PDA. Give him a moment. Type... type... And then he holds it up to her face, leaning forward a bit too]

How can't a lovely girl like you help me?!

[...ah. So he's that type of person. Vivi's used to dealing with Sanji, though, so she just gives a polite smile in response and a small nod in his direction.] My name is Vivi. I'm a bit new here.

[She wants to ask about his head, but it seems impolite. Apparently he can't speak, but he must be able to hear and see her all right. She'll just wait patiently for him to respond again.]

[Okay, typing... and then holding it out again. He has a new respect for how fast Celty can pull this off]

Vivi-chan! I thought you were new, I would have seen you before now

[And he would nod here, but the head- man, how to emote. Oh, well, he'll wave his hand up and down to signify her whole body]

[Vivi's not really sure what he's trying to indicate with his gesturing. Still, she relaxes further. He seems to be a nice enough person, despite how he looks--and she assumes this is just the result of the Malnosso experiment, and not how he appears normally.]

I'm trying to learn my way around. I haven't had much of a chance to explore the town yet. [It's throwing her off a little not being able to make eye contact, but she looks in the general area where a head should be.] Have you been in Luceti long...? [And here she'll trail off with a questioning note, not sure what to call him yet.]

[Oh, right, names. He types on the PDA a while. It's convenient to not have a head in this respect, because she can't tell if his "eyes" are off her or not. type, type. He needs to get faster at this. After a while, he holds it up]

I've been here for quite a while, actually - a few months

[He holds up a finger with his other hand, and then goes back to typing. Delete, re-type]

[He points at his chest with his thumb on the free hand before holding up a finger again. Delete, re-type]

Here today offering to be your guide if you need it!

[She gives a small, pleasant laugh behind her hand. He really does remind her of Sanji in a lot of ways.] It's very nice to meet you, Kida-san. And, if you don't mind, I'd love for you to show me around. [Since he's offering and all...]

[Sweeeeeet He gives a little bow and then settles into a place at her side. Oh wait he can't grin at her- typing a little]

Anywhere you want to see?

[She has to stop and think at his question, since she wasn't trying to find anything in particular, more just wandering and taking in the sights. Finally she shakes her head, turning toward him with a smile.] Nothing in particular; I suppose I was just exploring. Though maybe you'd like to show me some of your favorite places?

[He considers a moment... and then places a hand on her shoulder. He would nod, but that doesn't really - no head. And then, quickly letting go her her, he bounds on ahead. Waiting for her to catch up of course, but past the grocery - seventh heaven is obvious but he waves at that and gives a thumbs up, and he heads towards one of the bridges towards the south end of the square]

[Well, he certainly is lively. Vivi is taken by surprise when he runs ahead, though it's immediately obvious he intends for her to follow. She speeds up to a light jog, since continuing to walk at a leisurely pace with him so far ahead seems rude. She wonders where he's taking her--she's not familiar with the southern part of town at all yet, having been newly arrived and too overwhelmed the one time she passed through it to pay much attention to her surroundings.]

[It's not that far south, just the southmost bridge. No particular reason other than A) he's had a few fateful encounters here and B) it has a nice view of the river. Once he's at it, he turns abruptly and starts to type on the PDA. Mind you, this happens pretty much immediately after he stops jogging all the way here, so it might be a quick stop.

Either way, what he's typing (and will hold out to her, assuming there's no collision or near-collision) is:]
