There's party hats, a multi-tiered birthday cake and a stack of brightly coloured gifts drawn on the paper before Selphie speaks cheerfully to her friend.]

Masaomi, I don't know if you'll get this message, or if you'll even read it. But this won't take long, I promise.

I know I said something during the last draft that in hindsight, I probably shouldn't have. I couldn't lie to you, though, so I told you... But I had no idea you would have responded like that, and I didn't know that I wouldn't be seeing you for such a long time again. I really regret it. I'm sorry.

Sonohara-san showed up the other day. Did you see? She was looking for you, too. After all this time, we're finally together again. We can spend time, just the three of us, like we always did before.

Please come back, Masaomi. It feels like I haven't talked to you in months, but I still think of you as my best friend. I think all three of us have things to say, and I think both Sonohara-san and I are more than willing.
