Football and a slight rant...
I just want to know one thing, why is it that when in european games, foreign teams with portuguese players came play against Benfica, why do their portuguese always have great games against Benfica?!?! why ? Pauleta is having a totally crappy season, but managed to give me a bad scare for one hour. ( and Cristiano Ronaldo is not forgotten either. Deco is excused, though). Benfica is through just the same, but still playing like this they are not going far, or so my mind says. My hear says Simão deserves to win the UEFA cup. Simão right now deserves to win the Champions´ League.
And on other football news, thinking particularly of F, who is far away from this madness into another football madness, some headlines
- Paulo Bento ( sporting coach) has slept with Ricardo Quaresma ( Porto star player) - this is all about their having been roommates when they were both players at Sporting.
- Porto-Sporting game next weekend. A tie would be good.
- The under-21 Portugal coach is not going to call Cristiano Ronaldo to play for the U-21 games ( like you have had a choice on that for the last few years). Real and Barça are jealous.
- Specially for F, Gato Fedorento 1 e 2 na Gala do Benfica ( Portuguese, sorry but starring the most self serving helping-your-club scheme ever.)
and yo, SLB. I knew I was right to stay home to watch - and yes S it is safe to talk of it tomorrow morning ( not that you would want to, of course).
