Well i have now moved into the new house, its alot nicer than the old place. Thankfully John is about so I'm not all alone in the new house. I didn't quite realise how much stuff i had, I really need to try and get rid of a load of it, but how?! and no simonis burn one box save one is not a valid solution.
I went for a nice walk today, decided to go exploring wollaton park, alas the building was all under scaffolding, so I couldn't see the inside. I did see a herd of deer, it was a pretty sight, until one of them starting having a wee. I had an odd meal in the park, I brought cottage cheese sandwiches, strawberries and belgian dark chocolate. A spiffing meal to be sure. I managed to find a little orchard of cooking apple trees on my way home too. (thoughts of apple pie or crumble come to mind).
The other day i also made blackberry crumble, it tastes fab. However it was rather weird as to how easy it was to make (you can buy crumble mix! its a joke), there is nothing fancy to it. Plus as I picked them from the garden it cost me no more than 50p. I do love homegrown food, I sorely miss it. I could quite happily get my fingers green and have a large veggie plot, but I need to obtain some seeds. I also think i have missed the season for planting. I want to grow carrots, beans, potatos, strawberries, and lots of things. Far more than this ickle garden can contain.
I sorely wish the world was more green, the big grey buildings with no artistic style or majesty made me sad. I don't understand how people can have concrete front gardens and dig up all the plants. Where is the joy of children running around happily in big gardens with flowers and trees. I remember my childhood and in the spring rolling in a lawn covered in petals from the cherry trees, digging those huge holes where you could swear you had reached the centre of the earth, longing to see lava bubbling up! I seem to see hardly any of the birds i used to see, blue tits, robins, chaffinches, all in short supply. Its a grim time when the air is but filled with crows and pigeons.
GROW VEG! PLANT A TREE! go green
