Boredom looks like it's spelled incorrectly. Is it? I'm having a hard time, here.
So, let's break it down:
Wed -- 7:00pm-10:00pm rehearsal
Thurs -- 7:00pm-10:00pm rehearsal
Fri -- 7:00pm-10:00pm rehearsal
Sat -- 1:00pm-5:00pm rehearsal
And then the last week in June/first week in July, it'll be EVERY day!
Yay!
These are the most boring, most worthless rehearsals on the planet. Our director (god love her because she's one of the funniest women I've ever met) wants this to be the most campy fucking thing put on stage (and I don't do campy), and the cast is all high school students. Or it feels like it.
Not to mention, they're talking about what to do next year (and they seem to have forgotton that Dave and I are on the committee to choose), and they want to do a muscial. Oh yeah, let's do another musical. Let's do another stupid comedy. Let's do exactly what the high schools and college are doing, completely negating the entire purpose of this break-away theatre group!!
That's a BIG thing that drives me nuts about these "theatre groupies." You know the one. The one who listens to nothing but musical sountracks and can tell you who won every Tony Award ever, and think they're supperior because they saw Wicked in New York. They think they've seen it all, but what they've really seen are just musicals. They haven't seen gritty theatre, they haven't seen truely awful theatre, they haven't read it or attempted to read it.
