Godamn i havent posted here in ages! Livejournal aint what it used to be... what did it used to be? i dont actually know, but its not that.
anyway, i suppose i should bring this update with some cool stuff.
these past two days have been fucking awesome. the movie Troll 2 had it's revival Seattle screening this weekend at the Grand Illusion theatre, with cast members in attendance. it was sweet. anyway part of this awesomeness is that i got to be the event photographer for the cast, for the whole event both days. so i was all over the place shooting everything.
the whole event was sweet. four of the cast members were there. for people who have seen the movie or know what im talking about, it was Michael Stephenson (Joshua, the main character), George Hardy (Mr. Waits, the dad), Jason Steadman (Drew, one of the boys/ short short stretcher/ "dont fret" guy), and Robert Ormsby (Grandpa Seth). tonight though actually George Hardy called Darren Ewing (Arnold/Oh my Gooooood!! guy) and he was part of the Q&A over a cell phone.
So yea the cast was there, there was prize winning, bologna throwing, and goblin egg eating contests. The goblin egg was a Durian, if anyone knows what that is. A foul smelling fruit which is labled "the King Of Fruits". Also Q&A and just the cast hanging out, and talking and signing. I got some cool stuff. Signed poster, plus a signed shirt with one the greatest movie lines ever.
its got the dad (george) yelling "You can't piss on hospitality!"
fucking sweet.
This was actually the first time i saw Troll 2. So it was cool because it was in a theater, but the actors were actually watching it too. and its really fucking bizarre too, because you'll be watching the movie and you'll see one the actors doing or saying something hilarious and crazy, and then you look over and there they are in person! its fucking weird. but so cool
so yea i'm really glad i got to do that for those guys, and meet and talk with them. and see the movie. which is called "the Best Worst Movie", because the dialouge, direction, and acting is so outrageous, its called bad, but it's really solid as a "bad" campy movie, so its just really funny and entertaining. and my first job as a photographer! it was an incredible experience.
