Wrote a paper on the demographic transition in Japan. Not sure if I am going to post it on Myspace or anywhere on the account it is 10 pages long. Somewhat interesting but 10 pages long none the less.
Anyways, I saw a couple of presentations on the critical analysis of menstrual synchrony research in human reproductive ecology class (taught by the very rad Dr. Beverly Strassmann) earlier yesterday. Kinda makes me want to discuss that as a topic in the "Science and People" entry series again which...is a series only comprised of one essay thus far. Whenever I get a moment's breathe I think I start working on that and, hell, is there a better topic than analyzing errors in the methodology of menstrual synchrony research? I think not!
The first (and last) post drew in a few readers from my friend's list and I kinda wanted to come up with yet another interesting topic to analyze in a micro-essay/review. Hopefully this summer I could pursue interests in the natural sciences and write a bit more on some great topics (hey, who knows, I might actually make a legit blog out of this!!!). I would like to incorporate less opinion and more objectivity. Unfortunately I am not entirely sure if I will have access to peer-reviewed journals on-line like I used to. Still a lot I need to get squared away before this summer.
First and only (thus far!) "Science and People" post!:
"Science and People Part I" Lists of other topics floating around I want to write about
-Gender discrimination/biases in research & media's interpretation
-N.A.G.P.R.A.
-Traditional/holistic medicine
