That's this week done.
It's been a real fix-it week. Repacked the drill batteries, fixed car indicator switch, changed oil/filters etc, fixed broken headlight, repaired 2 mobile phones and most recently upgraded Mari's computer from a pentium pro to an actual PII. All delays on that last were entirely due to video card problems in that there was no AGP slot and win98 didn't like the drivers for the various PCI cards I had. Got it going eventually. I should have stayed for soup, but we did have a truly excellent afternoon tea (done properly with a genuine staffordshire teapot with a proper spout profile). Thanks to Mari who gave me a framed image of (I think) Ponder Stibbons of Unseen University, wearing a robe with "Rocket Wizard" on it. Kolya's scouts can probably have Mari's old computer once the new one has settled in and we can be reasonably sure that there are no emerging problems, thereby getting a bit more mileage out of the stone.
