To be a student is to starve. Well, hopefully not with this great recipe for lentil soup. It's very tasty, easy to make and incredibly cheap. Maybe not as cheap as instant noodles but it's cheap enough and far better food for you.
Lentil soup for 6-10 people
Pour olive oil in a pot, enough to cover the bottom. Add one wellchopped onion, two cloves of garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon powder, 1/2 tablespoon of cumin, about 4 cm of grated fresh ginger, not more than 1/2 tablespoon cayenne peppar. Turn on the stove and let it all heat up, but not enough to brown it. Add 3-4 decilitre of green lentils and cover it up with plenty of water and 2 vegitable brothen stock cubes. Add a couple of drops of whitewine vinegar and a little honey or sugar. Boil for two hours and add salt. Don't be afraid to use too much water. It's almost impossible.
