A heat index of 108 almost makes me long for a wind chill of -40. Living in a region with a temperature spread of more than 150 degrees is very, very hard on a person.

Theses were taken 4 months ago - I need a reminder of how much I hate winter too.

We cry a lot. LOL! Nah, actually once you get use to it (and I've had 49 years to) it isn't as horrible as you would think. It's hard, because of the temp. swing but normally in the summer its 80 - 100 so you kind of endure it.

It's the logistics that would confound me...having to keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer! I cannot imagine what your heating bill must be like, especially if you have air con as well!!!!

An interesting new telly programme was aired last night on the BBC...'Sherlock', an adaptation of the man himself set today. Sherlock is played by a young actor unknown to me, Benedict Cumberbatch, (wow...what a mouthful) playing SH as a high functioning sociopath, who is befriended by a medic invalided out of the Army after being shot in Afghanistan. They also made references to the gay overtones to SH's behaviour, to the extent that Dr Watson does think he might be gay, but still shares a flat (221B) with him!!! A few plot holes but now a bad start!

There were people on the SH09 comm talking about this! They said it was pretty good. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I've always been a fan - since Jeremy Brett - and love any adaption. The RDJ movie just pushed me over the edge and into obsession. Like I need any more.
