World Enough and Time (a drabble)

Apr 28, 2007 06:17

I've been rather neglecting this place lately.  I promise I'm still writing...Some of the fics I'm working on are bogged down a little; others aren't suitable for this list.  (The mods should know someone has erased the posting guidelines!)

Not usually my style, but this should be amusing.

Hilarious, and yet it brings up a very good point. Well done.

Argh! I better have them somewhere! Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks...I don't usually write drabbles, but a thought came up to me last night and when I started writing I realized all I had was twenty or thirty words (maybe the first couple of sentences). So I lengthened it a little.

In case anyone isn't aware, Illyria is playing Civilization. "Deity" is the second-highest difficulty level, in the third edition anyway (the highest is "Sid", after the game's creator).

Oh, how interesting! And I must admit I'm a big fan of Civ, so there's more coolness in this story for me.
I wondered whether Spike was familiar with Civ after he told Angel in TGIQ: "As fas as projects go, you are the Sistine Chapel". :) But when would he play it - he didn't have a computer at home. Nah, he probably played on someone's PC at W&H, and then showed it to Illiria. He became fond of video games and gameboys - so why not of computer games too? :)

Why not indeed? But I'd think something like Doom was more his style. Unless, like Illyria, he likes to start nuclear wars. ;)
