This is charming. I love the picture you painted of Spike firmly concealing what he's up to in his not lonely enough basement. Too bad his muse's mother couldn't come up with something more lyrical than Buffy. Maybe he could co-opt "Joan" for the evening.

But "Joan" rhymes with "moan"! And William would undoubtedly fail to see beyond that rhyme.
