Across the room sitting on the bed was Simon. Her tormentor…her curse
In his hand, an apple.
Had it been 5 or 6 days since she had eaten?
Gail was confused…hungry…tired
When she fell asleep, they woke her up. When she begged for mercy, they spoke in riddles before leaving bruises.
She could sleep and eat all she had to do was crawl over there…Next to Him… her trial…her test
Swaying on bloody feet, Gail felt something break within her as she sank to the floor.
With scrapped knees over concrete Gail made her way over to….her Salvation…her Savior…her Simon
