Summary: Steve McGarrett comes to realize what is truly important.
Steve sat staring out into the darkness.
He had thought with his arrest of Wo Fat he would finally be at peace. Instead he just felt hollow.
The people he considered family, Mary Ann, Chin, Danny, were gone.
He had a career, but it was no longer enough.
What did he have in this life that was worth anything?
Steve cursed as a sudden breeze picked up the papers on his desk and scattered them. Then a familiar grinding wheeze echoed about the room.
For the first time in over a year Steve McGarrett truly smiled.
His Danno had returned.
