His charming smile stayed firmly in place as a dozen roses were thrust into his arms. He walked forward to whistles and applause. He burned within, aching to be anywhere else, and his sharpened, painted fingernails bit into the roses' long stems.
Buck leaned against JD. "Ez sure does make a purty queen, doesn't he?"
Ezra growled inside as his friends laughed. This was the worst undercover mission ever, and he would make them all pay!
