Summary: On the planet of New Mars everything goes wrong, but Danny has faith in Steve. A small look into their lives as they travel together.
“He’ll be here soon. You’ll see. Steve never stops, especially when those he loves are in trouble,” Danny said in a pain-filled voice, his hands stained with a mixture of Gallifreyan and human blood.
He cradled the unconscious Doctor against his chest trying to keep the both of them warm as they lay on the bare floor.
Hearing a guard’s panicked shout outside their cell and a familiar voice yelling his name, Danny wrapped his arms tighter around the Doctor careful not to dislodge the bloody bandage across his abdomen and whispered against his friend’s neck, “Thank you, thank you…”
