(no subject)
i like days like this. i'm waiting, basically. waiting to do what i want to do before the party (this includes eating solid food, showering, cleaning my room, going to mel's house (ugh), the liquor store, various and sundry). i'm in no rush and i've downloaded musics (i'm listening to the new decemberists's's's right now... so good!). i didn't feel like eggs for breakfast so i cracked open a beer. breakfast of champions!
party at my house! christie came back and it is good. i didn't miss her while she was gone but i am very glad to have her back. we're going to go gyming together! she suggested a party here, and jonotron thought of the theme of partying like it's 1996. why? i don't know. but it's going to be good. last minute though it is, lots of people have promised to come. happiness!
i went to the library yesterday for the first time in almost a year. my card had expired! at first i thought the machine (they have mostly self-serve checkouts now) didn't like my card because it has huge chunks missing, but no. the man who helped me offered to replace it but i vehemently denied him! i think i will apply for a job there. only thing is whether or not i tell them that i'm planning on leaving in five or six months. i don't know, but i do know that working at the library would be awesome. also saw simon there. what a funny, funny boy he is! ah but aren't they all...
jordan and i went walking last night after an enjoyable evening of boardgames with christie and sometimes jonotron. jordan bought operation and it was much fun! buzz and jump! we walked down to the water and then through downtown. he had a sudden craving for pizza so we went to ghetto slice... i don't like that i've been craving and eating cheese lately. my lactose intolerance wavers so my belly isn't really that mad at me (it's not completely happy but that might have something to do with the amount of beer i have been consuming) but i don't like eating cheese on principle. (except for blue cheese.) smelani called when we were all here so we all got to talk to her, which was fun. i'm calling her tonight, which is next year for her but not yet for me! so silly.
bob threw out my coffee filter by accident so i had to buy a new one. i use a hemp filter, it's reusable, see. i generally hold that the coffee i make at home is far superior to any coffee i can get in a shop. after using paper filters for three days i realised that it's because of the hemp filter. not only do i not get the taste of paper in there, but the oil from the coffee grounds build up in the filter and make each successive cup tastier than the last. add in the nutty flavour of my soymilk and you have heaven in a cup.
