In My Personal Journal. . .

"i sat with him as he clutched a copy of the koran and prayed continuously that the removal of his leg was all that would happen and that he would survive the surgery." --Michael Franti

For those of you who do not follow my journal or the Michael Franti/spearhead community, I have been posting day-by-day journal entries from Michael Franti who is just returning from a tour of Iraq, Israel, and other parts of the Middle East.

Michael Franti isn't Muslim, he isn't a rich celebrity, he happens to be a musician who is out there doing something in the world. He is a giving and caring man, and he gives huge bear hugs. He is one of us. One of the good guys. . .

If you want to read a wonderful, even handed account of a trip that some of you might to have wanted to make yourself, start here and proceed through the journal to it's end in the present. The rest will be posted through the middle of the next week.

I would love to hear your thoughts. . .

World Peace and Safety,

Darshan
