Devil May Cry anime (ep. 1)
Last night i watched episode 1 (of 12 episodes) of the Devil May Cry anime and i loved it. I wont be able to talk about it without going into extreme fangirl mode because Dante is just so smexy...i thought he was yummy in the games and the manga but no...he's even bishier in the anime.
The first episode (which are called missions...takes you back to the game) is called "Devil May Cry". Dante had to look after a little girl and get her to some place before a certain time so she could inherit a fortune. On the way there are plenty of beasties/demons for Dante to kill which he does in obvious style...with his guns Ebony and Ivory and his totally cool sword Rebellion. Turns out the girl was a cover for the real heir to make it to the mansion without attracting attention.
It ends lovely with Dante walking out of the bathroom without a top on *cue fangirl squeal*
In the whole episode Dante was his cool laid back self who kicked major demon ass...lovely *sigh*. In it he also has a pretty cool car...a nice red convertible.
The animation is wonderful as you would expect from Madhouse. I was a bit dubious about an anime but they've managed to do it wonderfully. I suppose it helps that Bingo Morihashi, one of the writers for the second, third and fourth games, is on the writing staff. The only thing i'm worried about is that Trish shows up and i don't like how the first game ended with them getting all lovey-dovey...its just wrong.
Now i must talk about Dante's Seiyu...he must be the best seiyu out there because he has practically done the voice for most anime characters i like, he just has an extremely sexy voice...here's a list of what he's done (my fave characters of course)
