This cannot be happening.

Yesterday morning Dad woke me up with a phone call, "there's a category 4 hurricane heading straight for New Orleans, get the hell out NOW." I thought he was kidding as looked it up online... I had checked Friday night before going to bed- the hurricane was heading for the Florida panhandle.

Oh shit.

Direct hit.

After much craziness, etc. I booked a flight on a Southwest flight- the last one leaving New Orleans last night. I parked my car in Dibollx, got a lovely lunch at Nirvana with Ryan, Dan, Candice, Adam and Gretchen, and taped X's on our windows, put stuff in my closet and covered everything with sheets and towels. The Golds picked me up around 3:45ish. We got to the airport around 5ish and Chris B. ended up being on our flight. It was fun. Except all I have with me is a few changes of clothes, my computer, make up, mini ipod and camera. And now Katrina (here to refered to as that trailer trash bitch) is category 5 and heading straight towards New Orleans and there talking about 20 foot storm surges... I'm just hoping everyone got out ok. Luckily some people hadn't even left yet (sorry Zach that I will be unable to pick you up from the airport today). By this time tomorrow my apartment, my car, my school, what has become my home could be under water and I will be unable to return for a long time. What will become of all of us? I'm not trying to be dramatic- but um, you should read some of the stuff they're talking about.

I wasn't supposed to be home so quick. I was supposed to go to a party last night and host one tonight and see friends I hadn't seen in a long time and continue planning Romeo and Juliet, etc. All I can do now is sit and wait. Please call me and let me know you all are ok-
