Do I remember Friday nights in second year? no
In sixth year, will I remember friday nights in fourth year? unfortunately, yes
A typical friday night in second, I'm assuming, involved a riveting game of Boozopoly while downing, and pressuring friends to down, excessive amount of wine, vodka, rum, and whiskey, and whatever else happened to be lieing about that visitors left in a hasty retreat from the disgusting disgusting cell I called my home (actually my friends home, I just slept there a lot because there was always a vast array of alcohol available and primed for consumption). I don't remember much, but I'm assuming after this we would crawl (sometimes literally) downtown, making sure to take a short-cut through the church probably desecrating (unknowningly) the turn-of-the-century graves that most likely go unnoticed by most people, including me until a few weeks ago. once downtown, we would continue to drink, likely beer, and numerous times would get expelled from the bar, but not after we would manage to make an ass out of ourselves in our pathetic attempts to "pick-up". Then we would embark an always adventurous trek home, where we would eat until we passed out, which was often as soon or even before we got there.
This year, fourth year, I am spending more and more friday nights busily slaving away (atleast it feels like it sometimes) in the fishbowl (computer commons - everyone calls it the fishbowl) or in the library, no doubt feverishly working away with faint hopes of being able to go Saturday, if I can get enough work done today, Friday. Only to discover, that on Saturday night, I'm too tired from working all night friday night and waking up early Saturday morning to work for money (so I can afford to work for education, and perhaps intelligence)to go out that night, and besides, i need my sleep so I'll be rested for work on Sunday.
Work Work Work, has replaced Drink Drink Smoke
A lot more boring, nothing to write a book or tell friends about, but it actually seems much more satisfactory to me. I'm a lot more happy now that I'm not having much fun and am stressed out about school and life, then I was two years ago when I had no stresses and spent all my time having fun. So in conclusion, fun doesn't equate into happiness.
So give me all your fun.
