The Olfs brothers and Adam start off the party with shots of barenjaeger, which by the way, is DELICIOUS.
Hannah isn't drunk, just adorably silly... which is why I love her so!
HeyDad and my mom was there... but my mom was really good at avoiding the camera. The party lasted about 12 hours and probably 25-30 people stopped by to enjoy our food and festivities! It was the best present two ladies could ask for their birthdays.... being fed and lots of friends stopping by!
Jesse is SO metal when I caught him taking a nap at about... o... 7pm.
But he was shamed into getting up and joining our impromptu booze-fueled dance party!
Im so busy hosting and talking, Im TERRIBLE at taking photos through the night so I dont have clear photos of MOST of the guests! But, many people came and good memories were made. We ate SO MUCH FOOD! There was tons of hamburgers, hotdogs and steaks and also awesome things like homemade salsa, chicken mole' and baked mac&cheese... mmm! And TWO chocolate cakes and a birthday flan!
BIRTHDAY FLAN!
I made two collages for the night.
Ris, before and after.
And a display of how good Adam is hiding from the camera.
We had such a great time. We dont have parties so much anymore, let alone extravaganzas! Jesse and Rashonda got to spend their time enjoying adult company instead of their babbling gaggle of rabble, and I think we nearly acted like adults most of the night with a few generally funny exceptions. My neighbors tolerated the drum circle that started around midnight outside while everyone drank/smoked/talked outside on what was a REALLY nice Summer night! Inside, Nisha hosted a few games and groups of people ranged through the house meeting everyone else and having a great time.
We especially imported Dana from Pullman, however our delivery of Andy from Sandpoint was cancelled due to some serious illness we allowed as an appropriate excuse.
Atheena read my cards for a birthday present and Paul brought me a cake, beer and a massage. In fact, we made out like a bandit in the booze department. I think there were 7 or 8 bottles of wine, 5 or 6 cases of beer and a few bottles of liquor wandering around the house all night! And, since we are adults who have learned self-control over years of self-indulgence... ya know what? Everyone drank and had a good time, but hardly anyone got DRUNK... and that, my friends, is how I like my parties. Everyone just wanted to socialize and enjoy themselves!
About 2:30am, we began setting up our drinkers with our designated drivers and sending everyone home so I could get SOME sleep before my alarm rang for work at 6:05am the next morning.
Thanks everyone for coming!
I was happy to see everyone who visited and I was overwhelmed by the many hugs, kind words and generous gifts, best of which was time with my friends and family!
