Watched Eraserhead for the first time.
I was confused, bored, grossed out and occasionally amused... but generally confused.
Which I think is 90% of the point of that movie.
I remain unsure. It was long and it was quiet. So quiet.
Because of sarahs_muse showing me mock_the_stupid I found this:

And on another group Sarah pointed me to, customerssuck where I keep forgetting to post the wonderful stories I get/have.. but I did see this one: Museum Curator talking about how she gets regular calls from people wanting appraisals on their antiques to sell then on eBay... all in all, its a great story... but I want to point out... shouldn't a MUSEUM CURATOR know and understand the word 'patent'? Shouldn't someone who DEALS in the preservation of history know how to spell and say that very important word?
Jesse said that "patten" did come up on google,...
But I refute it.
"Patten number" comes back from google with 410 listings.
"Patent number" comes back with 1,140,000 listings.
"Gittar" comes back with 45,100 listings.
"Guitar" comes back with 153,000,000 listings.
"Antecdote" comes back with 836 listings.
"Anecdote" comes back with 8,700,000 listings.
Obviously, the woman is ill-informed, and she is one of those 410 people making google worse by saying the word "patten" because she doesnt know she's misusing/misspelling the word "patent".
MUSEUM CURATOR... I want to find her, visit her museum and giggle knowingly at/to her face while she says that word over and over in context in the museum SHE runs...
Im going to call HR, make an appointment and make a serious request at work...
One that might mean more flexible hours, better pay, less gruntwork, more responsibility,....
Sidenote... I also need to call HR about the conditions at our store..
Toilet is broken half of the time.
Cockroaches living in our water cooler.
That has to raise some OSHA issues or something.. no toilet, no fresh water...
Its gross and needs fixed.
