Strippers or death?

I just saw a wonderful commercial for Stateline Showgirls... a local stripclub.

"Stateline Showgirls, where fantasies come true. Its a quiet, elegant and sophisticated place for your fantasies!"

All during this you see flashing pink and red lights, leopard print EVERYTHING, gleamy brass poles and a shot from the thighs down of a woman in shiny black stilletos that lace up to the knee.

I know when I think of "quiet", "sophisticated" and "elegant" I think of colored flashing lights, brass poles, leopard print and patent leather... don't you?

Totally.

The thing is? Stateline *IS* the nice strip club around here... weird. I guess strip clubs can really only be so "classy"... Vegas, NY, Miami and LA might pull that kind of thing off,... but Spokane just can't cut it in the Gyrating Girls in Day-Glo Thongs and Acryllic 7" Heels Crawling on the Floor in Sync to R. Kelly Songs class of elegence and sophistication.

TO THE KOOL-AID!

Thinking of Kool-Aid, I remember when I first started working at Virgin Mobile they had taken away books, and noone was allowed to read on the calling floor. The trainer said it would just be temporary and not to worry. I was feeling alittle cranky and piped up. "Yes, children,... drink the red kool-aid! Its delicious! Don't worry, you'll be JUST FINE in a few minutes,...."

The trainer gave me this really scared look, then busted up laughing,... referring to me as the Kool-Aid girl for the next year, and telling that story to everyone she introduced me to. Occasionally being forced to stop and explain the whole story of Jim Jones and the cyanide kool-aid, because apparently anyone even a year younger than me doesn't know about it. *shrug*

Sidestory done.

Sorry, Im wasting time because I dont want to clean, organize or box anything anymore.

storytime, wasting time, bored
